All right!!!!! Walked in the door from taking son #2 back to school from orthodontist appt, and I had left the tv on while I was gone...Fox News Channel was live at a McCain/Palin rally in Wisconsin, and it was the town hall style----audience asking questions of the candidates---like it should be---and McCain was with a guy who said it right---he is mad as hell and wants McCain/Palin to get in office and straighten the bullshit up. I think he sums up the way a big number of those of us who vote feel......I, too, am mad as hell.......at the thought that people would even vote in Obama and his crowd---Pelosi and the like running this country is the scariest thing I have ever had to face........I don't want their hands in my pocketbook, any more than they already are, and preferably less!!!!
I am tired of hearing that Obama's past and his prior associations don't matter, when at every turn that camp is pushing at everyone how much Bush and McCain are alike.......He is a different breed of Democrat----as Col. Potter on MASH used to say--"HORSE HOCKEY!!!"
I am tired of the media pushing Palin as an angry white woman who stirs her audiences to hate and violence......I AM an angry white woman, and I have yet to bestir myself to violent hateful action. Palin is a lot like me----she is honest and she tells it like it is, whether you want to hear it or not. If her supporters turned on the media at one of the rallies, then I'm sorry, but I believe they brought it on themselves by their constant haranguing against McCain. You know the media is supposed to report what happens, not make the freaking news, and not present their personal opinions while doing their job. Unless you are a commentator, who makes your living giving your opinion, then shut the hell up unless you are actually reporting the facts. No one in the media seems to be doing this, from ABC/NBC/CBS to CNN/MSNBC/FOX......The print media is just as bad, from the local rag to the Associated Press, etc.....there is not a fair or balanced story in the whole place, and it reeks like yesterday's fish........Forget something being rotten in Denmark----try the whole stinking media establishment..........
And we as a country have let it get that way.....we take what we read or see on tv as gospel truth. If it is on the news it must be true. Why are we not more skeptical? Why do we not question what we are told? Where is our intelligence? Where is our common sense? Why are we not holding accountable those who are not doing their jobs appropriately? Why am I beating my head against the same damn wall all the time?
Fact is, not all of us who are voting for McCain are rich; some of us are one or two paychecks away from losing it all. Most of us are hardworking, honest Americans who are tired of the welfare state, of govt interference in everything from our schools to our doctors to our very bedrooms.......Most of us work very hard for our money and we do it without fanfare or orange pancake tv makeup in front of cameras. We do it to pay our bills, and educate our kids, and live our American dream. And we do it on far less than those who use the limelight to spout off what they think everyone else should be doing, i.e. Hollywood, media and politicians. I do not base my vote on what Alec Baldwin thinks is right. Personally I think he needs a freaking shrink, or a lobotomy, but that is my personal opinion. I base my vote on what is right for my family, what coincides with my value and moral system, and what I beleive to be best for this country. I could care less what some European or Asian or 3rd world country thinks of how we do business.....screw 'em. Let them run their own countries and let us run ours......
I don't think we should allow political contributions from any foreign nation or company or individual. I don't think these splinter groups like Acorn should be allowed to register voters. I don't have a problem with motor voter type registrations---you know, register to vote when you get your license, or register your vehicle, or such. But I think voter registration drives should be conducted by whoever is in charge of voter registration. And I think early voting is simply a way to commit voter fraud....if you need to vote absentee, then fine, but otherwise show up to the poll on the day set aside for the election........Make the cutoff for registration for an election at least 30 days prior to the election so that officials can verify that the registrations are valid. I saw where in Marion Co., Indiana, they have registered 105% of eligible voters......WTF!!!!!to be blunt........How does that happen? Through deliberate voter fraud.....I mean hell, I live in straight Democratic, vote the union party line country, the great state of WV, where the vote stays bought until someone else pays ya better........Ok, maybe not so much now as in decades past, but you get my drift.....voter fraud is a huge issue........
Tell ya what, this redneck, work for my money, straight shooting woman voter has a way to deal with voter fraud-----any election that there is decided to be fraud in, needs to be re done. Run it all over again until there is no more fraud. And to keep the govt running for the years it would take, the incumbents stay in office until the results are honest........I know, not a great idea......got a lot of flaws......but it's a thought anyway.....
By the way, did anyone watch the debate Tuesday night------how can you vote for someone who refuses to answer a single question? At least McCain answered, whether the answer was something you wanted to hear, or even a complete answer, at least he had a response.......Obama never seemed to answer anything--he sure is a good dancer though, because he danced thru the whole debate----around the questions, and so on.........
