I just checked out my brother's blog, and I want to push anyone who reads this to go to www.wvmountainhome.blogspot.com. Read the entry for October 28, 2008. Read and ponder. Read and do a gut check. Read and decide where you stand. Just, for the love of yourself, your family, and this country, read it.
I did, and it hit me hard. I am telling you, if I did not already know where I stand, if I did not already have a firm grasp of what my morals and my character are and say about me, that little article would have force me to do the gut check. Too many out there are not like me, they enjoy having government take care of them, at the expense of those like me and mine, who work our asses off to fulfill our dreams, not to mention working them off just to pay the bills and so on... too many people are content to live in mediocrity or somewhere far below, just to avoid taking a chance that may cost them something in the short run, but could turn out to be great in the long run. Too many are too quick to just say screw it when things don't go their way.
