Ok, news flash for teenagers....Your parents really are not as stupid as you think they are. Chances are that anything you can do or think of doing, we have already either done, thought of doing, know someone who did it....you get my drift......
That being said, and having been a teen once myself (Shut up Dad)......my rhetorical ? is why do you continue to lie to our faces when you know you are caught? The latest is the 17 r old. She knows what she did, she knows she got caught, she knows we all know about it, so why lie about it? Fess up and take your punishment. Actually her punishment will probably be greater than anything her dad and I could devise........We hope not, but she brought it on herself and we aren;t hauling her fat out of the fire.......
That being said, I guess part of it does come from neglectful parents---her mom especially, although her dad and I have our share of blame too.
I am sure that when she comes for her stay this week, her dad will get the innocent act like we got all this past weekend.......He quit beleiving it a long time ago, but there you go......
Now it is time for bed....no jury duty tomorrow so it is off to work at 5am........night night......
