That was my day at work. I got there at 5am, along with my comanager and 2 stockers and we piddled all morning. The stockers left at 9am, due to boredom, and she and I basically sat in the office and chatted, walked the floor and chatted, each of us ran to our separate banks to put our checks in, and stayed bored.
Yeah there was plenty to do, but they involved tearing aisles down to rework them and that is not something you do on a Friday one week before school starts and the weekend of the local college starting up. You never know when the business is going to hit and then you've got a mess on the salesfloor and customers bugging you all over the place, so you can;t finish the task at hand----because how do you tell your paycheck givers that you can;t help them because you were stupid enough to start a huge ass project with no time to do it? You don;t.
Tomorrow should be better because she and I are splitting the day and that means we will both be at the front end with the cashiers when we are not helping people on the floor---after all it is a Saturday.
Sunday I work 8-2, which is good because it's my folks 41st anniversary and I'd like to spend a little time with them that day. My and Ron's is on Monday--7th--which we will spend waiting on the AC people to get here and hopefully fix our unit. Probably just in time for the next Ice Age. He is taking the day off to be here, since he knows a little more about the things than I do, and my boss was nice and scheduled me off that day.
He really isn't such a bad guy, as long as you do your best.
Anyway, I could probably sit here and find something to bitch about, but it really isn't worth the effort tonight. I'm tired and my head hurts from my late afternoon nap, so I'm to go take some tylenol and stretch out with a good book--as opposed to cooler temps when I curl up with a good book.
HEEHEEHEE.........
By the way, for those of you who are High School Musical fans-----I banned Disney tonight just because #2 premieres tonight.
