Is it hot or what?

It's noon and it is 91 and climbing. Yeah I'm taking the kids to Dad's and getting in the pool--just as soon as the sun goes off of it a little--about 2 hrs from now or so. At least it will be something besides baking outdoors or laying around doing nothing indoors.

Anyway, waiting for my best friend from school to come down to visit tonight for the weekend. I sense a game of Phase 10 and 80's name that tune coming on. The rest of the family is liable to lose their collective mind. Mary and I are a lot alike, but we differ in some very major beliefs---not so much the beliefs, but how to get to the goal. We agreed a long time ago to just disagree and go on with life. She should be in late tonight.

Other than that, just working on Shel's quilt top, trying to get Chris to go thru my stash of fabric to pick his border and backing fabric for his quilt, and thinking about how to quilt mine together so that I can use the machine to do it, not by hand. Kate finished the scarf to a knit your own teddy bear kit my mom gave her for Christmas a couple of years ago, but now she and I are both stuck on how to knit the bear itself. The instructions don't help much.

Which reminds me--I need to email my sister in law to tell her I have the yarns for Erin's afghan--she just needs to pick 3 of the 4--I couldn't narrow it down any further than that.

So I am outta here for now.
